What interferes with fixing domination? | |||||||

A serious question. Why isn’t any effort being made to fix it? |

At this point I guess CZ honestly think the situation doesn’t need fixing. I also think they’re wrong. |

i think they’re aware of the issues but ep. 2 is top priority or something |

If ep. 2 was top priority, then why would they have created domination theme/fiesta weeks? |

the changes made for the domination themes could easily be done in a few minutes, and since it’s just a one time experiment there’s no need to ponder its implications and spend a lot of effort trying to balance it out. there’s been thread after thread about ideas to fix domination, and while some ideas have stood out more than others it’s still not clear the best way to go about it. The two aren’t really comparable. |

Domination is one of the few things keeping the EP1 vets holding on before EP2 comes out, they aren’t stupid enough to simply ignore it. Stuff like antifreeze and vanilla being nerfed when lots of peopled talked about show they /do/ listed to the users.
One of the problems is no one can really agree on one perfect domination system that pleases everybody. Tesfan edited this message on 07/02/2008 9:37PM |

Putting a cap on vanilla would fix the problem, and it would easily take no more than a few minutes. They don’t need to spend time trying to think of the best possible fix in order to implement a fix. |

Indeed, it’s not like the AF fix was all that great, but it kept the game fun for people who didn’t want to waste all day gambling. The parallel with the current situation should be obvious. |
