Honestly unless your build is utter crap it’s best to save your first respec for when you are level 10.
That way you can minimize the number of haxl visits required to finalize your build.

I can’t really comment on specific builds, but as an emo you’ll probably want lots of ego and offense, and keep your defense slightly limited since you’ll do much more damage at lower ego. If you’ve already bought the gear you need (Pruneserv, Eyeball Piercing etc) and have plenty of flezz then you can skimp out on upkeep and frugality… unless you want to beat Faux News/Firewall regularly in which case you’ll end up spending much longer grinding.
Waiting to level 10 is a very good idea though. Saves on cash. |

Just set everything to zero, and wait to see what you can buy with Episode 2.
Or, put everything into Defense.
Or, buy all the base stats but none of the special emo kid abilities, because those are just really flavor enhancements anyway.
