******** steels himself. He, like many other marines, know the stories about the abandoned Phobos Base. He knows all about the kinds of horrors that it is supposed to hold. He also knows that so far, no other marine has returned alive…
Charging around the corner, he spies a former sergeant, shotgun waiting. His first shot hits it, but he is greeted by a cacophony of low moans and shuffling feet. Within seconds, a large group of former humans pours out of the building, intent on his destruction. Sweating, ******** settles in for a tense firefight. About 5 ex-humans and 3 ex-sergeants later, he is bloodied, exhausted, but victorious. He grabs a nearby suit of armor, a shotgun, and a lot of ammo, then descends the stairs, looking around.

******** decides to try the door on the right. As he approaches, he hears pig-like grunting. He slowly opens the door, and narrowly dodges the fireball which does not actually present itself in any way, shape or form. A lone sergeant looks puzzled. A moment later, it looks leaky. Opening the lone door in the room, ******** finds himself in a huge open area, facing several formers. He takes them down, sustaining pretty heavy damage. THEN a fireball materializes. It smacks him in the face. It ****ing hurts.
Taking down the imp, its brother, and a lost soul, ******** feels like he’s learned a lot from his short time in this hellhole…
