No, sorry, the answer was, “Douchebags who want to show off by doing stupid, costly things.” Though again, I think the usefulness of the DML will change when the level cap is raised.

Thinking that PrayPal would still be better. For the record, I used 18 SmilePrin XRs on a seven-thread run. (And my repair costs were F13,333, all but a couple of hundred of which were the DML, for anyone who cares. Actually considerably better than I was expecting; I guess this is the good side of “item deterioration is based on number of hits, not amount of damage.”Log in to see images!

It can be done a lot faster than that. I’m not a speedrunner (I even prefer clicking to using my keypad) and I had fairly bad luck slowing me down.

I am jealous of everyone who managed to get seven threads.

I re-speced to have 23 Defense, went in, saw 8 threads and figured I’d go for it. I went in with 200 Smileprin XR and 12 Blunt Trauma, ended up with 116 Smileprin XR and 8 Blunt Trauma.

What makes it not terrible is how, with so much defense, you get runs of misses. I’d take meds until over 200 Ego, just to be sure; if not that, I’d do Ophelia’s Poetry; if not that, I’d do Your Momma; if not that, I’d Fap. And I still had about a dozen times where all those moves were recharging and I was still over 200, so I resorted to Insult.

Heh, I was afraid to run out of consumables if I just went on a forum with any number of threads, so I did a short research and found out the confirmed* min was 7.

* “confirmed” because someone mentioned they pwned it with 6 threads earlier, but there’s no real confirmation.

It only looks like six because the seventh is under the toolbar.

Took about 168 SXR and 3 L’ORLYs on seven threads. I was lazy so I didn’t take any risks- mostly just healed constantly until there was an opening for an Ophelia. It’s not that tough, just expensive and time-consuming.

I just went in, with 12 visits left, as soon as I went in I had 9 visits, and it crashed, so I left it, and now I have 5 visits.

I had the same problem today – I wanted to attack, got an error mbumage, refreshed and got an error message again. Three refreshes later I got a different message: No forum visits left… Well, I reported it as a bug.
