So, bob’s mother has put a pbumword on the router and decreased his bandwidth to about nothing. I suggested he buy a keycatcher, get the pbumword, and fix it himself. He argues that he cannot afford a keycatcher, so I suggested that some FWZ good samaritan might want to help. Anyone up for being bob’s fairy godmother (since his real mother doesn’t understand the importance of bandwidth)? |

You could go to the library. The library always has free internet for peeps in need of filling out job applications.
Is the reason she restricted your bandwidth because she’s having to pay overage fees? If that’s the case then idk I think she kinda has the right to. I mean, by the sounds of it she’s allready feeding you, clothing you, sheltering you etc. Imo internet is kind of a bonus in the whole essentials for living equation. I mean aren’t you like 21? Sorry but you’re kinda past the age of sympathy for this particular situation. |

I’m with Duca on this one. If you are 21 years old and $30 is a meaningful amount of money to you then something has gone seriously wrong.
Also if Duca is correct in her bumessment and your mother has done this because you are using too much bandwidth and costing her extra money then this workaround buys you a month at most before she notices that the bills are still coming in. Job or school Little Mister! Choose one. |

Bobbo, I humbly suggest you go out and at least make it LOOK like you’re trying to find work, therefore trying to move out and finally live like a grown up. Go to Burger King or McDonald’s, ffs and bring home a job application, leave it out on the counter (or wherever) where your mom can see it. That might be all you need to do to get her to ease up a little. I doubt she actually wants you to move out, because if she did she would just throw you out. It’s more likely that she just doesn’t want to be your sole source of support anymore, seeing as you are a legal adult now. Show her you’re trying, I bet that’s all she wants to see. |
