Como se dice “There is no try, there is only do or do not”?
**** the accents, I’m not looking up the codes. You got the idea. I’ll accept this instead of the drawing you promised. Log in to see images! |

don’t listen to cid he doesn’t know spanish. also i never promised a drawing. and i don’t understand the sentence enough to give a good translation. no hay intentar, solo hay hacer o no hacer <— maybe that. also not having the ~ over the ñ can turn año (year) into ano (bum). |

no hay intentar, solo hay hacer o no hacer This seems the most appropriate.

“No hay intentar, solo hay hacer o no hacer” is “There is no to try, there is only to do or not to do.” So it’s probably as close as you can get given that Yoda doesn’t speak proper English. If you want to bastardize the Spanish in a Yoda-esque way, you could say “No hay intenta, solo hay hace o no hace.” But then you’d sound like an idiot. Your call. |

Pero cuando usas el infinativo en espanol (no quiero usar los accentos. Callase putas. No me importa) no lo significa “to blank.”
Lo siento Log in to see images!

The whole point is that it’s an improper sentence. Yoda speaks in poorly organized sentences, I think Bandaney has the most effective translation as it gets the wisdom across clearly and still sounds like a three year old might have said it. |

I thought all spanish sounds that way since no one in a spanish speaking country can get an education greater than an english 3 year old. |

lol, Bandy. Not everyone grows up in South America. We speak the best Spanish we can. My first Spanish teacher in school was from Argentina actually. One day he flipped his **** that all we knew was “fine upstanding member of society Spanish” (spanglish and Cuban slang) and threw a bunch of desks around. He got fired, obv.

You might be surprised, most of the veterinarians I’ve worked with went to vet school in Spanish speaking countries (a veterinary degree is a doctorate, in case you weren’t aware). The reason for this being, there aren’t many vet schools, period. Getting into ANY vet school is almost an act of god. And if you plan on practicing in the states anyway, knowing Spanish is a really good idea. There are large parts of the U.S. where English is basically a secondary language. Which ****es some people off, not sure why.
