Realism is more realistic. You can’t see the outlines of the survivors, when you die in campaign you cannot be rescued until the other survivors make it to the saferoom, Witch insta-kills you, and some more stuff I can’t remember from the top of my head.

Realism = CI can only die by headshots too i think.

Headshots (and special stuff like the grenade launcher or the M60) are the only 1-hit kills – all other shots do much less damage than they normally do, plus all the coloured outlines on things, like other survivors when behind walls or pick-up-able objects, are removed.

So if you get separated, you will be alone in the dark with reduced ability to kill things to death, and you will probably never be found. Also witches are one-hit death, and you can’t respawn in a closet, only at the safe room.

No, playing Infected in Realism is incredibly fun. Being Survivors in Realism is extremely hard, but satisfying, since anyone making it to the saferoom is a real accomplishment.

Though if you don’t have voice communication, don’t even try Realism.

Of course, I’m also the type who thinks Versus is only difficult on Realism or Healthpackalypse mode…
