Then it said my numeric SteamID was already in use by man-man, but had no profile page or information about that user. This other man-man with my SteamID is almost certainly me but from a while back, but the pbumword recovery thing doesn’t recognise any of the email addresses I would have used except the one I’ve just used to make a new account. I made a thread in the support forum, might try and get some admin bumistance on IRC.
