The thing about popular posters is we only get banned when mods get bumhurt over something, usually Nicco getting mad that I had my RP in CD and then lo and behold other people post in an even more annoying way but they don’t get banned what’s up with that.

I guess tYPING lIKE tHIS is completely different from tYPING, uHHH, lIKE THIS, in the basis of the rule which says “don’t use annoying caps or bold/italic/underline for your post.

Or maybe Nicco just doesn’t like good roleplay, who knows.

In all seriousness I wish that the community was taken a bit more seriously when they talk about mods who don’t handle the situation properly.

Take this ban for example. I remember this ban. I was the guy who reported the post. How did I know that there was something wrong with the post? People have been banned for “All caps in CD” before. It’s only fair.

However the ban was only for 5 minutes which wasn’t really enough considering most people have gotten a week for posting ALL CAPS in CD.

I felt cheated as this is extremely unfair on other people. Ok maybe that was Aldo’s first offence and yes first offences are usually 5 minutes however I doubt that. I’m not sure who to be concerned for more. Aldo for his complete disregard to the rules WHILST BEING SOMEONE WHO MAKES SURE THAT NO ONE BREAKS THE RULES or Cid for his (constant) lack of thought when issuing bans. If a policeman was to break the law people would want that policeman fired and locked up which makes this extremely unfair for everyone else. Just because they are a mod or a policeman doesn’t mean they are “ABOVE THE LAW” but people like Aldo think they are.

Thinking about it I’m not sure if a mod has actually edited someones post just so they could ban them. I mean a mod could go to any thread in CD and edit the post so it says something like “fine upstanding member of society bumS” then someone would report that post because it says “fine upstanding member of society bumS” and saying fine upstanding member of society is insentive to black people for some reason even if the context of the word wasn’t really used in a racist way. That mod could then ban that person because the post said “fine upstanding member of society bumS”. To be honest I can’t tell if this has actually happened cause obviously the mods would be a bit more subtle than “fine upstanding member of society bumS” I mean if a mod changed a post to “fine upstanding member of society bumS” it would be pretty obvious but you get the idea.

you’d think that but there’s no logs for moved threads so I doubt there would be one for edited threads also aldo has done it tons of times but got away it.
