Where is that option? As soon as I click on a thread it becomes blue and it always tells me if there are new responses whether I am subscribed or not.

I don’t subscribe to anything, and I like seeing which threads I’ve read and which I haven’t easily. Going straight to the first unread post is very nice. And you can always just click to the last post to mark all as read.

I don’t really see the problem here.

You do subscribe, unless you uncheck the little box every time you post.

Let’s say you click a thread just to find out what it is and you have no interest in it after that. Too late. It’s blue forever and you’re always reminded with new posts whenever somebody bumps it. If you click unsubscribe it should make that go away, but it doesn’t.

When I was a mod I posted in a ton of threads and didn’t want them all in my subscriptions. Which I never use anyway.
