Seems that God is hating us this year!
I dunno if any international media reported it already (Brazilian twitter and television has gone cuckoo already) but it’s been raining non-stop in Rio de Janeiro for 2 days in a row already.
Since people created a thread regarding the first 2010 big flood, why not a second?
BTW – I’m not in Rio de Janeiro, I guess I do have a boon and I usually escape those kind of cataclysms. I was there till Sunday. Log in to see images! |

It’s chaotic here, I tell you. All of the main universitities (UFRJ,UERJ,PUC) are closed for today; and the rain is supposedly going to last until thursday.
A.k.a, we’re ****ed.

For the people who are experiencing natural catastrophes it sure is pretty bad, but personally I think they are one like the other and in two weeks or so nobody even talks about it anymore. I mean, Chilean earthquake anybody? These things will keep happening and after all, they’re all more or less the same – and so are the stories told about them and the pictures taken. On a personal note, I grant Fran her day off.
