plk and swine: I see you guys made an alliance to get to the Final Three and it worked like a charm. Was it hard to put with the perks of each other? Not everything is sunshine and rainbows, you know.
man-man: Try to explain in detail how it was being the last TG member up, from the moment Nicco was voted out till this fatidic day. Fran edited this message on 05/15/2010 8:23AM |

Fran Posted: Log in to see images! I know we’re supposed to answer all questions put to us, but that reads like “tell the story of your life from a while back until the present. I don’t know whether I can remember it well enough or whether I can be bothered typing for that long.
A summary of the highlights though… it was kinda lame to be sat about, thinking I was going to be gone at the next vote. My level of care with regards immunity challenges was rather low; it seemed somewhat pointless since the odds of winning every challenger forever was essentially nil.
Jimmy decided he wanted space gone, I co-operated… it was either her or me. Then… time pbumed, there were challenges and alliances and people left periodically. I stayed in which was cool. [Aside: Are the later challenges public info yet?] Then as the group narrowed down it got harder, as I’ve said.
And then I was answering questions for people. That was cool I guess, but I hope it doesn’t go on too long Log in to see images! |

Only as much as you want to reveal to the jury while you’re facing them. Despite the interruptions by the home viewers, the final three are still isolated on the island with the jury.

It’s pretty cool and surprising to still be here. I didn’t really expect to last beyond the first week, so everything beyond that is kind of a bonus. Then with a voting block of four, things went pretty smoothly for a while, until somebody got cold feet and completely switched up the game, which made me think I’d be out soon after that. But, I got a chance to save my bum and salvage my alliance, which was again pretty cool. So, you could say it’s had its ups and downs. UnlimitedTyyppi Posted: Blue. No, yel— Auuuuuuuugh! [/me is thrown over the bridge] (oh god I hope I didn’t just alienate any Monty Python-hating jury members) Nicco Posted: Thanks! It got close there and was hard to know how things would turn out. Fran Posted: Well, I’d made an alliance to get to the final four. Beyond that, I don’t know what would have happened. And, it almost didn’t work at all. If you’re asking if Swine ever annoyed me or anything, no, I can’t say he did. He wasn’t as good at some of the challenges as some other people were, and that sometimes made it hard, but he did his best, kept his word, and that’s all you can really ask. And, he was always willing to go along with the course of action I suggested. So overall, good alliance member, upvoted. plk edited this message on 05/15/2010 2:40PM |

Nicco Posted:
There is no set plan, I’m afraid. I only hope my charm and endearing personality shine through enough to warrant some votes. This game was hard because it goes against my nature to exclude people and such, so, maintaining an alliance was hard. Especially when there’s so many cool people to be on board with. But, as plk said, while mediocrity was (sometimes) a goal to show my belly to the bigger dogs I did my best to at least keep the rest of the alliance pushed towards the immunities even at the risk of getting votes because seeming weak made me less of a target.
UnlimitedTyyppi Posted:
The alliance has been in effect since day one. In matters like this, you need to start strong. What’s the expression? In like a lion, out like a lamb? It’s kind of like that. As far as plk is concerned, I honestly feel like I helped a good deal in a number of things to keep her elevated. I’m not trying to detriment her work either. She’s an outstanding person. Cunning, intelligent, and competitive. But, what makes me stand out over her? As I said to Nicco, I hope my warmth and charm will shine through.
bumonz Posted:
I honestly didn’t expect to make it this far. I figured the alliance would have shattered after the merger and my throat would be cut. It’s been a stressful and emotional ride. Especially whenever my name came up during voting. All I could do was grab my chair and think “Here it comes”. Whew. Relief came, but, was gone again by the next voting period. And, I must say. It’s back now.
Fran Posted:
First, I really dislike the phrase “worked like a charm”. As someone with a skeptical mind, I feel that charms don’t work, and therefore the turn of phrase is kind of silly. But, I do know what you mean. As I’m sure you know, plk and I knew each other coming into the game (which is one of the reasons I was approached). She knows my quirks well and I did my best to keep up an aura of maturity while we worked on the game. She provided a calm, laid back, and logical atmosphere which was a great compliment to my sporadic, often annoying demeanor. Really, I’m just glad she could put up with my constant stream of male reproductive organ jokes. swine edited this message on 05/15/2010 1:20PM |

Afterglow is a thought, one shared by the very few, when we reboot the collective unconscious. Banana peels of an ex-patriot have bumimilated the spill, but not the wanton soup. For that you really need to see a specialist. Where you will find one now that Billy Mays has left us, I’ll never know, but this ain’t gonna sell itself, if you know what I mean. Jesus, was an architect previous to his career as a prophet. All of a sudden, I found my self in love with the world, and there was only one thing I could do.
Plk, man_man and Swine, I would like to congratulate all of you. Becoming a finalist is quite the achievement, and it is a shame that only one of you can win. Speaking of winning, other than yourself, who would you vote for? Any particular reason? At a few points along the way, challengers were med-evac’d. Did these ‘med-evacs’ concern you, or were you confident enough in your own ‘health’ that you knew you’d make it to tribal counsel? |

Crazy_Smurf Posted: Manipulation of selection is a terrible shame that drives the engines of the world into dust and furious ashes. When the mushrooms whisper to me I find their arguments almost as compelling as their condiments, for the delicious mustard runs forth like a delicious rain of tears, glistening as after a sneeze. The anger and vengeance of the rolling dice weighs only lightly upon the smooth canvas, despite the flailing limbs of a thousand mis-spent youths it amounts to a tale told by a fool. I honestly don’t know who I’d be voting for if I’d ended up on the jury seats. I would have to carefully consider the arguments made, before voting pseudo-randomly Log in to see images! Med-evacs weren’t really of grave concern… if it happened it would only be because I had ****ed up; it’s not something that could happen by stroke of bad luck. I was getting a little concerned at some points that it might drag on for so long that I would have to make the difficult choice between exam revision and this game (and I’d really hate for my grade to suffer because of that, but I’d have ended up playing the game if the conflict arose) In general, no… not concerned. |

Crazy_Smurf Posted: But soft, what under my window makes the tivo fly better? Metaphorical nomenclature underneath thine hydrometer appears thusly and fervently. Pushing, reaching to the stars wherein “the more you know” is yet revealed. Oh Juliet, you are the sun and I am your Jupiter rising with locks of fine, glorious hair; flow it, show it. In conclusion, I toss my shoe from left to right asking, “will you be my neighbor?” Well, I’ve worked with both man-man and swine, and at different points we all did things that kept each other in the game. So if I don’t win and one of them does, I can’t be that upset about it. And there are good reasons that I’d vote for either one. I think in the end, I’d have to go with whoever I thought worked the hardest and did the best. Oh, and about the medical evacs — I was concerned that one of us would forget to post for a whole day and get evac’d, so back in our original tribe klan, I made a thread for daily posting so that (hopefully) wouldn’t happen. It was definitely a shame when Huggles got evac’d, especially because it seemed like something came up that was just beyond her control. I hope everything’s okay there. It was also too bad that two other players were evac’d, but in a game this long, you’re probably bound to lose a couple of people due to inactivity, and that sucks, but I guess it is what it is. plk edited this message on 05/15/2010 5:30PM |

Crazy_Smurf Posted: *makes a series of hand gestures* Same as above, I’d have to weigh the evidence more closely. Maybe even flip a coin if I had to. And yes, med-evacs scare me due to my busy social life. A few times it occurred to me that I might end up in the exact same place. |

Now that everybody who can sit down of their own volition has done so, and bumonz is helped to his seat by our crack medical staff…
It’s time to vote. Remember, this time you’re voting FOR a winner.
I may not be able to tally/read the votes until Monday but if I can, I will! |

Confirmed. I won’t have a chance to do this until at least 10am Monday.
And I sure hope it’s not a tie! But it COULD be a 3-3-1 tie, and if that’s the case, we’ll have a revote (which can’t end in a tie). |
