Lemon Scoop Equation. Maybe it needs another look at?

So I go to do a job with my Re-Re yesterday and notice that Obscure Phobia Support Board needs 4455 Fans to succeed, which is quite a bit given that it’s a level 21 Forum. But hey, I’m the most powerful Re-Re, I can do this.
I beat it and check the Fans Gained Leader board for Re-Res and it turns out to get 1, 2 or 3 Lemon scoops (Which the Fans needed to succeed at a job is based on) you need exactly 4455 scoops, which has been gotten by only 1 guy ever. I check the same board today and now the amount is higher because I pwn’d it
Some of them I’ve seen have the bottom 3 people out of 200 being the only one’s who wouldn’t get 3, and this is the first I’ve seen that’s the opposite (There were 3 pages of scores) Looking through several pages the onloy thing I see consistent is that the range between 1-3 scoops is damn near negligable and covers usually around 1-2% of actual scores… Seems that it could be done better I guess.Log in to see images!

No I’ve only seen the results and complaints about it. And while this is far better than the old timed system, It could use a tweak or two.
The theory I’m aware of is that it’s based on percentiles, but that doesn’t account for some of the results which can seem fairly out of place sometimes, though having very wide percentiles (90th for 3, 50th for 2, 25th for 1) has been suggested before.
By the way it’s now 4575 Fans to succeed at the Job for Re-Re’s, so somewhere between 2 and 3 Scoops… Dunatis edited this message on 02/24/2010 1:07PM |

It seems like that for all of the buildr forums, while the Episode III ones are pretty constant. Most characters kill AllWesternMedicineIsBull**** so fast they get the full 10K fans, while I’m averaging 4.5K fans per pwn, and the Lemon Scoop req is still in the 2K range.
BourbonDictionary, I could never get lemons for that. But I could get lemons from Board Game Addicts, a stronger forum, I haven’t checked in a while. Probably not anymore. |

Seems to be a problems pretty much only for Re-re’s. This furthering the incentive to become permanoobs. |

I think this is largely due to the fact that Level Ones with no equipment running Denture Chat are in the same pool as Level Sixty-Nines with Floyds and Master Balls running Denture Chat. Lemons should really be further sub-clbumed by level (or a range of levels, say 5 or so). |
