that’s enough to make a new character or something! well, i’ve been trawling google trying to find a line drawing of a cat that i like.. but i can’t find one Log in to see images! i’m going to be pretty loose with what i want, i shall post some examples of cats i like, and examples of the kind of drawing style i’m looking for- so you can intertwine the two and hopefully you creative people will come up with something delicious, BUT: i want it in black and white only, and idk if any of you know the style of line drawing, but like- avoid shading? i think? it has to be of just one cat, no background i don’t mind whether you somehow work out how to draw it on a computer, or whether you draw it then scan/photograph it.. but it must be your own work.

This is not mine, and it doesn’t really qualify, but it’s a similar type of art and has a cat: I adore this
Which brings up a question- are you looking for something basic and true to life, or something more stylized? If stylized, which do you prefer: the vintage illustration look like in the girls fishing and triceratops you linked, the toile sort of style in the gutenberg link, or the style of the indie art trend thats big right now, similar to the birds you linked and the print I linked above? |

well first of all, i was looking for some victorian-ish line drawings, but i couldn’t find very many nice, crisp ones, then i just searched generically “line drawings” and i saw all these different types and thought they were pretty cool, but i’m really indifferent to whatever style the artist’d choose- also the picture you just linked is so pretty, and i looked through her others and i love all the minute detailing.. with the girls’ hair usw. this contest has had a promising beginning imo Log in to see images!

It’s a bit cartoonish, not the exact style that you requested, but it’s still one of my best drawings so far.
Also, sorry for the bad quality, I had to use my mobile to take a photo. |
