Smile What's Herschel's shop doing open for Hanukkah?

“Flame Retarded”

It struck me amusing. I know that compared to Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah, Hanukkah is a minor Jewish holiday, that does not require anyone to keep the Sabbath on any day other than Saturday.

However…since when did that stop us? Some schools in Israel do close for the week in recognition of the holiday.

However-however…I’m not sure where Herschel lives. He strikes me as an Orthodox, so no knowing exactly how close attention he pays to the ins-and-outs of the holidays. As a Reform and someone who went through public school, I’ll gladly take any opportunity to declare a holiday.

Whichever way, a very happy Hanukkah to the Jewish forumers on here, however you may practice it. Now if you’ll excuse me, I am late for lighting the first candle.
