I was wondering how I can check to see what happened to those 100 power stars item that people were uploading pictures for? I wanted to see what picture was voted the most. Also I wanted to see how I did. However, I forget to check yesterday and we’re onto a new item. Is there anywhere its posted?

The Episode 3 Hijack
When Episode 3 of Forumwarz launches, there will be hundreds of new items available for players to obtain, trade and use to their advantage. Since we’ve covered the basics of Episodes 1 and 2 with itembuildr already, we’re going to hijack itembuildr for a while to create Episode 3 content.
While this goes on:
* The stats of items will be hidden. * All winners will get a special Episode 3 item contributor E-Peen™ * The winners will also get an IOU for the item once Episode 3 launches. These IOUs can be traded via Kyoubai.

If you don’t have an IOU, yours was not the winner. For the most part of the time, there were 3 left in the running – one with the Log in to see images! face on each star, one with lots of stars scattered about, and mine which was this:

Had a vision of something other than just regular Mario eyes when I started out – settled on awesomeface.
Log in to see images! Every other face I put on just didn’t work. These Power Stars make me think… ‘**** you, Stars. Just…**** you.’ Meh |

It’s always fun at the start of voting, to see how many people found the exact same relevant image on the first page of google image search. Sometimes they crop it differently, but it’s still very obvious. Unless it’s a really good image, that could only have been made worse by editing, I’d downvote that kind of thing.
For my own subs, I always try to edit from the starting point at least a little bit. My 100 Power Stars sub started from of a screenshot from the game, but the star in that was too pixellated (so in the final image the screenshot just supplied the halo effect, the little stars and the coloured rays coming out from the centre) the stars are copies of a much better picture of the mario star, copied and resized and aligned (roughly) along some perspective lines I drew on a layer above. man-man edited this message on 12/06/2009 12:51AM |
