I started by searching for pics of the kaiser. I saw the sitting down one and thought “what if the kaiser was on a coputer posting kaisers?” so I did that with a random ww1 backdrop. I forgot that the people shon are not on the same side, however you could say that with the kaisers dominance in the photo (he’s clearly the focal point in here) that he’s going to defeat his enemy by doing what he does best… posting kaisers.

Good shooping, but does anyone have something a bit more done by hand/computer?

Haven’t been seeing much of that.

Sorry DerKaiserReich, I don’t have an artistic bone in my body – I can’t even draw a straight line.

The hardest part for me was finding a large enough picture of ‘Kaiser Bill’, because when working in 1600x900 them darn pixels become pretty noticable. I settled on a nice bust and went from there.

My favorite so far. Found some nice red/white/black/gold ‘thought’ lines to add to the bust, faded an old map of Prussia and an Iron cross.

Simple, but as in the above wall there is visible text… I’m not sure if that disqualifies it or not – I’m hoping that you only meant “Don’t ADD text manually.” Either way, the large visible “Das Alte Preussen” Can be taken out.

“Regrets”

A little too busy… I’m still tweaking this one. I spent a lot of time on the “Dying Nation” bird – I’m still trying to find a way to use it.

All in all, everything you see can be tweaked and/or mixed and matched. Each one has 4-8 layers that can be moved around, resized and deleted to your liking.

More to come as the ideas arrive

I enjoy the seriousness with witch you take the topic.

The last one, Regrets, is my favorite of the group thus far, although I feel like there’s a bit too much going on in it as far as color. Perhaps make some of the non-eagle/germanic colors lighter, more faded, and the map behind a bit more tarnished, and it’ll look much better, imo. Sounds more like a regret, then. I really like the eagle concept in your particualr sumbissions. There’s plenty of time left for tweaking; I look forward to the results of your inspiration!

Pretty sure this is a different tunic, but it’s a fairly comprehensive reference for the colors and details of at least one of his uniforms. The pose and moustache are the same between the two, for your referencing pleasure.

It’s a darker grey, I would use the links that the BTSW posted above ^^^^^^

Use my avatar as another reference as far as the shoulder epulettes and neck medals.

I believe that there’s plenty of pics I’ve posted on this site of him in color, the one of my avatar (full body portrait of the kaiser sitting in a chair, cross-legged in full color) would be your best bet for any other details.
