What are yours? A lot of bands are decent live, but there are always those select few that just blow you away with presence and skill.

Machine Head 07 was one of the most charged atmospheres I’d ever seen. Downright ferocity.

Steel Panther this year was just purely entertaining. I haven’t had as much fun at a concert before. I’m also seeing Muse in a few days, have VERY high expectations from what I’ve seen of them. World’s Best Live Act title isn’t gained easily, after all.

I also hope to see Between the Buried and Me opening for Lamb of God in February of next year.

The best act I’ve seen live so far probably goes to Dream Theater. I simply cannot get over how good they sounded, and the unity of the crowd atmosphere.

Other hopefuls in the future:

Iron Maiden

Motorhead

Symphony X

Cynic

Slow fog

I haven't seen a bad idea that I didn't like.

Oh daaaamn, BTBAM opening for Lamb of God? WHEREEE?

I would give up my leg to see that show. Ugh.

Some of the best live performances I’ve seen were:

Rush

Aerosmith

16th State

Fiver Finger Death Punch

Scorpions

Staind (not my kind of music, but I respect how well they did it)

Chevelle

Disturbed

Lots and lots more but those were the standouts I think.

I lurk much better than I post - and my lurking skills really suck.

Don’t be hatin’, but the best live show I’ve seen to date was a few years ago in Toronto.

Blue Man Group opened for Moby, who in turn opened for David Bowie.

It was an absolutely AMAZING 5 hour show.

Top five:

1. Iron Maiden

2. Tool

3. Heaven And Hell(Black Sabbath with Dio instead of Ozzy)

4. Social Distortion(with Matt Freeman from Rancid on bbum)

5. I guess it’s a tie between Motorhead and Judas Priest

...I was kinda born in the wrong decade.

Yeah, I’ve seen the Blue Man Group a couple times, 2-3, and it’s more of an experience than a performance.

I’ve wanted to see them since the first time I heard Jane Doe. I REALLY want to now with how amazing the new album is.

they opened for dethklok + mastadon and completely blew them away. since the singer doesn’t play an instrument he was pretty much running around the stage the entire time, it owned
