Voted yes. To answer ET’s question in the ep3 podcast about 100+ streaks for characters under level 35,is it possible? Yes I think it is,I managed to get up to a 96 streak with 7 forums left over to pwn. And I am only a level 33!

I hit 100 streak at either level 28 or 29 and I’ve streaked to 104 before reseting i.e., getting killed by Cosplay Central, so it’s possible for characters under level 35 to reach and get past 100.

This is very true.

All of the leaderboard type peen radically favor old players. I mean honestly, go look at the leaderboard and take a second to note what it would take for a newbie to hit. The answer is there is nothing except old players quitting. Those peens are not available and a game without goals is soon abandoned.

Given the number of players who play Dom vs the the number of players on site who might like the random achievement – I’d say there is no reason not to add the peens. It is a one time thing, much as the 100 streak is if you don’t play dom. For those who actively play dom, a very large portion have alts. They could easily do the peen streak to 100 for dom and then use a different alt(s) while the remainder of the peens are acquired.

I don’t see a problem with having some peens that ask for devotion to a task. I compare them to the trophies in the other game I actively play. Some of the trophies are insane – like choosing the same food until hundreds have been consumed, others involve puzzle type things, others involve being able to beat up certain things, others being in the right place at the right time, others are simply do/possess “x” gain trophy. The variety is really nice. It offers something for everyone.

Already have Boiling Point, do not feel a deep desire to streak past 100.

Adding goals to a game is good, adding extra grind to an already grind-y task… not so much. Getting the peens beyond 100 would be a case of doing it once then hoping to whatever you hold holy that they don’t, in the future, add more peens past where you streaked up to.

To add more goals would require coming up with some new things to deem peen-worthy (either existing things, but now with 100% added peen, or actual new things). That or do something about the crushing impossibility of reaching the top of a leaderboard. I don’t know how that could be done, but if anyone’s got suggestions then I’d rather have that than more streak peens.

Hey guys, just to follow up:

There are twice as many yeses as there are noes. But, they seem to come with reservations.

CZ agrees that there needs to be a better way to display Peen so they’re not all in one long list. We have some cool ideas of how to do that, and a major profile page overhaul is due anyway. Of course, that’ll likely have to wait until after we release Episode 3.

In the meantime, I think having Peen for every 10 forums after 100 is a good way to go (I would’ve suggested every 5, but it seems most people prefer fewer). After 200, we could possibly go every 20, then every 25, and so on.
