Petition to Change Dom end time

Having Domination weeks end on a weekday is extremely inconvenient to almost all of the mbumes. The current end time screws over almost all areas of the world that have a significant number of Forumwarz players. For the USA players, it's Wednesday night. Potentially problematic b/c of school/work the next day. For Europe, it's the the middle of the night. Who wants to wake up then to play an Internet game? There are much better things to do at that time (sleep?) Further east, into Asia, it's early morning. It's before most people normally wake up. I'm sure the sentiment that sleep is good is fairly universal. For Australia, Domination ends around 9-11AM, when most people would be IN school/work. Proposal: Move Domination end to Saturday night at the same time. Generally, people’s ‘days off’ happen more on the weekend than the weekdays. This reduces the number of people screwed over by work/school. Above everything else, this IS an internet game. Those who have social lives should not outweigh those who care more about Domination. Sunday night screws over people with work/school on Monday. Saturday is the closest we can get to a “happy medium” that works for the majority of people. ghax edited this message on 08/14/2009 6:19AM |

I think this has been proposed before and was shot down because many people are doing other things on Saturday nights. I don’t know about the majority of the site, but I doubt that most players would want to give up other plans to stay home and play dom. kittiejenn edited this message on 08/14/2009 7:47AM |

There are other games that have better rewards for the socially-inept than Forumwarz (having a limit of 4 visits a day, capped at 12 make it possible for the most socially active to play decently). Have you ever tried WoW? I’ve heard having 0 social skills lets you do wonders. |

Wednesday night is fine. Anybody who cares enough to win has put forth the effort to be around at that time. No sense in moving it around and making them reschedule. |

I think there have been enough threads discussing Dom endtime and, as you can see, people agree (including some of the most serious domfabulous persons) that it doesn’t need to be changed, specially because of their social lives. I suggest we use this thread to help our little internet friend, the Generic. |

Weird, mods normally close dupe threads that offer no new discussion after redirecting them via a link, after doing a little search like: http://forumwarz.com/discussions/view/38708 and http://forumwarz.com/discussions/view/32294 and telling the OP that they should search before opening new threads in CD.
I guess no mods are online. |
