Fave Flava | |||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
How many medals are awarded for this? Are there say five medals in this bracket (per flava), or one for the entire bracket where the medal goes to the most scoops of any one flava, regardless of the amount, and only that flava.
So example, Player A has 50 Antifreeze, 50 Chocolate, 50 Lemon, 50 Pistachio, and 0 Vanilla.
Player B has 0 Antifreeze, 0 Chocolate, 0 Lemon, 0 Pistachio, but 250 Vanilla.
Does Player B gets both the only Fave Flava and Most Scoops medals? |

Only Player B would get Fave Flava in this case – there’s only one medal for it.
As you put it – “one for the entire bracket where the medal goes to the most scoops of any one flava, regardless of the amount, and only that flava.” BloodyDemise edited this message on 07/22/2009 10:37PM |

There is only 1 medal for fave flava, so in your example player B gets it. |

In spreadsheet terms, for each player’s scores, Fave Flava = MAX (row of scoops), Min.Scoops = MIN (row of scoops) and Total Scoops = SUM (row of scoops). Highest score in each column wins that medal for the bracket. One medal per bracket per category.
With the exception of ties, which result in both players in the tie winning a medal, unless you’re in the top brackets.
In your example, 50 of 4 flavas + 0 vanilla = fave flava of 50, min.scoops of 0, total of 200. 250 of one flava = fave flava of 250, min.scoops of 0, total of 250. Player B takes the medal for fave and total, they might tie for min.scoops, but in an actual bracket there would be too many people for a tie on zero. man-man edited this message on 07/22/2009 11:06PM |

Zeros don’t get medals for min scoops. Otherwise there’d be yellow lines through them when they’re all tied for that, and that’s not the case. |
