How do I get this e-peen? what’s significant value? does the BP award have to be of significant value? |

Contests that are elaborate, lengthy, require some kind of investment of time or creativity on the part of the creator.
Like the ForumWarz Male Model contest, h0g’s Hacker Contest, etc. |

There are no set requirements. So far it has only been for contests that JaBooty has deemed worthy. Its the quality of the contest itself. Not the amount of brownie points. You might be able to say that it is for contests that contribute to the community, but that doesn’t sound right and I don’t want to backspace. |

The investment of time usually means that the contest takes place over a long period of time, usually split up which various things the host must do at each stage. Involvement is an on going thing; not something where you set the contest, let people enter, then judge it all when its over. Those are not very elaborate, and are kind of set and forget kind of thing.
As for lots of bp, idk that doesn’t really seem like it should factor in. You could conceivably have a “random post after 500 wins 60 bp!” contest, which is no work at all. |

whats conflicting. You need a contest where you do a lot of work. And then they will decide whether or not to give it to you. It’s not a difficult concept. |

it is not how much work the participants do necessarily, it is how much work the host does, and that doesn’t sound too labor intensive. Think of how much work went into male model, or the rap contest, or my idol contest. |

we have to manually test every submission in the contest over a variety of elements. that’s quite work-intensive on our parts. Darkdespair5 set up his own server to test such submissions on. That’s a bit of work by itself. Regardless of who enters, we’ve already put forth a large amount of effort to host the contest. ghax edited this message on 07/03/2009 8:17AM |

In every media/publicity project there is an important criteria – involvement factor. I.e. lots of people know at least something about rap/hip-hip, even more people are able to distinguish a prominent model from a permanent midget, but p much no one cares about Wesnoth. |

Inertia Posted: Just mail JB. Based on the description and most of the contests it was originally awarded for, I thought it was purely for contest content. Recently the big Brainfreeze friend whoring contest got it with a big BP payout, so I bumume that a lot of BPs also work. |
