The five adventureres get on the move (even tough Rap Dawg looks distant and void). It doesn’t take long for them to reach the old ruins. The doors are forced open and on the outside wall there is a paiting saying “Rock falls you all die lol”, probably work of the pranksters. You can see that the broken door leads to a room with 3 closed doors, one to your left, another to your right and another directly at your front. The has an old table and some chairs. On the top of the table you find some books, dices and some small figurines, the kids possible use this room to play some sort of stupid game.

Obsidian will step just inside of the doorway, to the left, shortbow at the ready. He’ll motion for Oskar to take the opposite position to the right of the doorway.
In a whisper, he says, “Aye, now one o’ ye sneaky types go check for da dirty tricks.”
[OOC: Xeph & Rap Dawg should check for traps. Xeph should check first, and then Rap Dawg should check behind him.)

(To search an area, you use the Search Skill. A normal trap would usually have a DC of up to 20. Only Rogues can find traps that have DCs of 21+. A single search of a 5’x5’ area takes one round (6 seconds). You can always ‘Take 20’, meaning you take 20 Rounds (or 2 minutes) and take your time to very, very carefully search that area, and you get an automatic ‘20’ on your Search check. So, since the table is basically 10’x10’, and each doorway is it’s own 5’x5’ area, you could take 14 minutes to search the table & all three doors and be guaranteed to find all ‘normal’ traps if they’re there. If you find any, then it’s up to Rap Dawg to try to disarm them via the Disable Device skill.) |

Father Oskar takes the position on the other side of the door, nodding and watching for Obsidian’s motion to go. He grips his cudgel tightly, ready to combat whatever is on the other side of the door. His mind races as he goes through the spells in his head, hoping Saint Cuthbert will keep him safe. |

[In the interest of keeping things moving…]
Obsidian grunts impatiently. “Well, dam it all ta da Abyss, pointy ears, if’n yer nay gonna do it, let me!”
With that, he steps up to the door on the left side of the room, and takes a few minutes to look it over, and listens to see if there’s anything on the other side.
If he hears/sees nothing, then he’ll simply open the door, axe in hand. If he sees something amiss, such as a possible trap, he’ll get Rap Dawg to try to disarm it. Obsidian smiles. ”Aye, me brudder. Let’s knock, shall we?” And with that, the dwarven fighter takes a step back, and shoulder charges the door.
(I bumume a Strength Check against a simple wooden door, yes?) If the door breaks on the first try, Obsidian will rush into the room, looking for an enemy. |
