Or does the “unread messages” alert pop back up sometimes when we’ve read everything already? It usually resets a whole page or the whole thread. |

Yes, yes, yes! I was meaning to make a thread about it, but I forgot. It happens to me all the time, randomly the “xx posts unread” resets on me and says I haven’t read a single post in a thread I’ve read before. |

It seems to happen if you view the top of any page. As if it bumumes you haven’t read that page yet. I can trick it by scrolling to the bottom of the last page, but if I go to the top of the page, it resets. CoreyJess edited this message on 05/13/2009 10:35PM |

I noticed this as soon as the new flamebate went live. I bumume it’s just a little code based on the last position or page you viewed. |

I reported this to ET weeks ago. It’s extremely frustrating to me because after an Edit Thread (needed for title changes or forum moves), or when viewing a thread after a bug or moderator report is issued against it, it returns me to the first page of the thread, resetting the counter Log in to see images! |

The quickest fix is just to click on the name of the last poster on the main Flamebate page. That should set your read count at the last post. CoreyJess edited this message on 05/14/2009 2:02PM |

I found it slightly amusing by going to the first post of a thread with 9000> posts, and then having a “9000+ new” at the end of the thread. Way to add old memes ET! Log in to see images! |
