Just a poll. Swine Flu started in Mexico, has come to the US, Europe and maybe New Zealand as well. Are you preparing for it? If so, how?
Here’s a google map of reported cases. |

Not worried about it. Don’t we already have a cure for it? |

There isn’t a single case in Tennessee. I’m not worried. |

As far as I understand, it’s no more dangerous than any other strain of the flu. The only cause for concern is the fact that as a new mutation, there is currently no vaccine.
Doesn’t worry me none, though. |

Exactly. The fearmongering and everything is just absurd. It’s nothing to worry about; a vaccine will be made soon enough. |

There are currently 4 meds on the market that treat the flu. Two of the older meds, do not work against this type of flu. Two antiviral medications can be used to treat or prevent swine flu: Tamiflu (oseltamivir) and Relenza (zanamivir). It should be treated within the first 48 hours if you suspect you have the virus. Go to your doctor and get tested. |

45 cases in NY, 1 in my county.
Yet, I don’t care. Kilroy edited this message on 04/29/2009 7:45PM |

There is no reason to think that this wont effect the whole world, the rate of the spread is already extremely high and there are cases everywhere, after only a week or so. I’m not scared ****less, but I’m certainly concerned, as a case popped up in my county this morning. |

Not really concerned about it, dengue fever is a worse problem here in Brazil, as it’s been killing people for years. Didn’t they close all airports on Mexico anyway? |

I’ve a house I’m worried about losing, bills that I may never be able to repay, a 20 month old girl that has been breaking out in hives the last two days for no known reason, depression that is not getting any better, heart palpitations that have me concerned, and my couch is hurting my back as I’m laying on it. Yes, even that last one rates higher on my worry list than swine flu.
