I keep wondering why 9 ended up so underappreciated… NeoVid edited this message on 09/04/2009 3:14AM |

This thread completely fails because there are too many kids that hadn’t played older ff’s. 4 and 5 are the best. PERIOD. |

True for V, but IV really isn’t that good. Still I’m interested in those WiiWare sequels. |

Tactics of course. And of course 3 aka 6. And of course 7 and 10 those are the absolute definitive clbumics. Well maybe not tactics, but tactics is better than the other three combined.
Actually I never played 8-12 with the exception of 10. Celerysteve edited this message on 09/08/2009 9:23PM |

Hmmm, I’d have to say III, V, and Tactics are my favs (mostly because I’m a Job System whore), and VI is my least favorite.
That’s all I’ve got. |

The original Final Fantasy. I didn’t care for any of the sequels. |

Yeah, I don’t like Final Fantasy 13. |

Seems like they took everything away from the series what I loved about it. Freedom to move frely on a huge map, crowded cities with shops and many NPCs, or a relaxing battle system. This is a step back. Square Enix already reacted to fans’ criticism and promised to make it better in FFF XV, now that they have an engine as a base. |

was Posted: Really? I really want to try it, I’m a sucker for pretty graphics. : /
And currently my favorites are IV, X and VII. I know some people reject Crisis Core as a real FF game because of the battle system, but I really enjoyed it. Again, pretty graphics. :3
Also, Zack ftw. |

My favourite would be VIII, donĀ“t know why. Also VI and XII stand out for me. |

ms-karen Posted: My girlfriend’s playing XIII right next to me now and it’s pretty as all Hell but I don’t like it because it’s just such a linear game. Final Fantasy VII is my favourite.

FFVII is p awesome. And I probably can’t play XIII anyways, since I don’t have a PS3. I could pretend to buy it for my brother on his birthday then play at his house, but I rarely go anymore.
They need to make more FFs on PSP, I’m more of a handheld console kind of person. |

It opens up drastically at about Chapter 10. Yeah, I was getting antsy, too.

It is also on the 360 now, if that helps. |

Final Fantasy VII is a very linear game. I don’t believe that the “linear game” complaint really means what it originally did. I think the complaint now mean that they didn’t like the story. There really isn’t that many non-linear games. |

I’m rather particular to X, Tactics Advance, and Tactics A2. X-2 would’ve been fun but I really hated the battle system. Same for XII. |

I liked Tactics Advance just for the fact that for once you get to be the guy who is breaking crystals to destroy the world. |

BobTheSqueakyWeasel Posted: the only game console I have is a Japanese Wii that doesn’t play American games, so it’s just kinda collecting dust in my basement. Apparently they can fix it, but I’m too lazy to bring it to Nintendo or whatever.
Call Me Diego Posted: I have one, I played III, IV, Tactics Advance and Revenant Wings on it. I just prefer the PSP to DS because it has better graphics. Are there other FF games for DS that I missed?
sdgrbbum09 Posted: Dress Spheres? I thought FFX2 was cute, but they changed Yuna’s personality too much. She became a second Rikku. |
