Which is your favourite Final Fantasy? | |||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Final Fantasy II You could essentially play it as you chose, thanks to the leveling system. If you wanted a mix of magic and fighting, then you could. Anyone could be equiped with any weapon, non of the restrictions found in the later games. As far as I know it is the Final Fantasy game with the highest body count, for both NPC’s and Story important characters. Sure, the story wasn’t the greatest, but was still fun to go through. Also Guy can speak Beaver. |

8 is my favorite, as it had the most impressive storyline, and the story is the most important thing for me in an RPG. The Junction system is also the greatest upgrade system I’ve ever tried. The actual combat in 8 was kinda boring, but since it was so easily exploitable, I didn’t care too much.
9 ended up my second favorite, making me wish it was more popular, and I liked 6 a lot, but I never got to finish it.
7 was the only one of the series I didn’t like at all. Fairly fun combat, but nothing else about it that made me want to keep going except completionism. It might have turned me off from RPGs if I hadn’t liked Suikoden so much. NeoVid edited this message on 09/04/2009 3:15AM |

I liked X. And VIII. Oh and Revenant Wings on the DS. Those are the ones I will allow. Original FFI and II are god awful to play now. Remade meh…I’ve played better.
Everyone drones on about VI and VII though. We have had bashing of VII enough though so I won’t rage on it. Even if…**** I said I wouldn’t and I won’t. |

Nine is adorable. I love that it’s not quite as serious as some of the others. Claine edited this message on 06/11/2009 11:00PM |

V was my favorite until I played X. Both of them are awesome, but I just liked the story and the characters (I.E. Lulu’s Rack) in X more. |

Personally, I think that 6 (released as 3 in the U.S.) was far and away the best. |

FF4 hands down, I give props to FF5 for having a pirate chick and being hard as balls. |

Final Fantasy IX and X are my joint favourites. X because I loved everything about it, and IX because it was my first Final Fantasy, and I love the old style of castles and princesses.
I’m currently playing VIII, and I’m enjoying it although the idea of climbing up crates and through sewers seems odd in Final Fantasy. I also have the relaunch of the original Final Fantasy on my PSP.
Didn’t like XII one bit, the combat system is just bizarre to me. |

I’ve changed mu mind. After being able to play Final Fantasy V, I must say it is superior to II. The clbum system is really impressive, and the fact that I can use an ability of one clbum with another is great. The monsters are much more interesting this time around, ranging from robots to weird lungfish things, to a sentient Black Hole. The story is a bit cliche, but the humorous dialoge more than makes up for it. My only complaint is: **** YOU GIL TURTLE! |

FFIX is by far my favourite. My only regret is that it took me until 2007 to actually play the damn game. |

VIII, without a doubt. The plot was great, Squall is the coolest hero in the series, and it had the best mini-game. |
