Seriously, if you’re going to make stupid rules about what can and can’t happen in sticky threads, don’t sticky any threads that aren’t “these are the rules of the forum”, at least not in any RP forums.

It’s incredibly lame that “a mod likes this thread” can protect a thread from the same sort of minor trolling and jackbumery that’s allowable in EVERY SINGLE OTHER thread in an RP forum, on pain of banning. Just because a mod thinks a thread is fun or neat or interesting shouldn’t mean that special rules apply to that thread. The mods are there to keep people from breaking the rules, not to make rules that ensure that the mods have more fun.

If a thread is really good, it’ll stay on top without anybody stickying it. If a mod thinks a thread is truly epic and responses to the thread don’t indicate this is a common opinion, just bump it every once in a while like the rest of us do. There’s no need to use the banhammer to keep people from messing with things that you like.

So if I go off-topic, I’ll get temp-banned, right?
