Have it like the Bcs system where 1/3 of decisions are made on a weekly vote by players, another 1/3 by random choice by comps, and rest is made by evil trout or other mods. That way items aren’t favored for a specific clbum.

ex: comp picks 10 random item stats to choose from, players vote for top 5 stats (only 1 vote per person to limit clbum dominance), then a mod picks final item that will be created for nxt day, that way 3 items are in circulation (first stage, name stage, pic stage).

I think it might be keen to add a third step to the voting process where we vote on what sort of item is next.

So itembuildr randomly pick, say, three item types out of a pool with certain rejection criteria (i.e. reject choosing the same type of item that was just done, make things like special items significantly rarer, etc.). Then on voting day, just have people vote for whichever one they like the most, and have the one with the most votes be the next type in the hopper. At least, doing this occasionally would be fun.

How about making it so that it never selects something it’s made within a week?
