he didn’t. it didn’t meet the reserve, so it didn’t count.

besides, if acid really did bid for his own object, it wouldn’t jump straight from 8,500 to 105,000. besids, the reserve was about 250,000 so he just did it to bump up the bidding or something…

Sorry about that, SW. Here’s what’s going on:

I am currently testing a glitch (and ET/JB/McBan are all aware of this testing), and reporting the results back to ET.

For obvious reasons, I cannot go into more details than that.

However, in reference to that specific auction, the minimum reserve (as with all of those Surgical Procedures) was set to 155K. I bid 125k, as a test to see how this glitch interacts when there is a previous bidder. I had bumumed a reserve bid had already been met.

I apologize that my testing interfered with your purchase. I am now listing a Auction for that item at a lower Buyout price. Please keep a close eye on this auction, and buy it as soon as it is ready.

I understand the concern. I’m actually testing out more than a few effects this glitch has on the game, not just the way it affects Auctions. For obvious reasons, I’m not advertising this testing, nor am I elaborating.

Once the testing is done, if ET gives the okay, then I’ll go in to more details.

Actually, there is.

I can’t be on 24/7 to monitor my auctions. I needed a significantly high value so that I can easily track whether or not the Flezz actually transferred properly between characters. A small value is much more difficult to track and evaluate, especially for two characters, unless I am watching the Auction & my two Flezz totals like a hawk.

I tried this before with a less expensive item (Happidex), and was watching it very closely, but it was outbid at the last moment, ruining my test.

No one in their right mind is going to bid 1 Million (or pay 3 Million for the Buyout) for that book, which is why I set the Initial Bid/Buyout that high.

Since you don’t know the nature of the glitch, please don’t bumume what is or is not an appropriate test of said glitch. As I said previously, I am keeping a record of all the Auctions I use for testing (as well as the other game affects) so that Evil Trout can fix anything that needs fixing.

Also, JB has already flagged my account so that the Mods know I’m doing actual testing, not trying to ‘cheat’.

To discourage anyone from messing with the Auction. Also, the bid I submitted with BD was 3,000,000 to dissuade any ‘snipers’ from trying to be funny.

In retrospect, I could easily have left the Buyout blank. The test results will be the same, regardless.
