Is Episode II worth the money?

This has probably been asked several times, but I would like to know from people who have purchased and played E2 if it is worth the $10 that is charged for it. I have only payed for console games (i.e. ones I can return or sell back at a different time) and have never even really played a computer game before, but Forumwarz really has kept me captivated.
So before I drop $10 on something that I am unsure about, does E2 blow E1 out of the water, or should I save my money?

Definitely. It’s not nearly as long as Episode 1, but it’s worth the 10 bucks.
Plus, you’re helping CZ maintain the game. |

I think it was definitely worth it. More storyline, more forums, access to better stores etc.
If you want to become a level 35, I suggest you get it, since trying for level 35 forums will be a pain in the bum if you only have Drugs ‘r’ fun to your disposal. |

Honestly, it’s 1/5th or 1/6th the price of a console game, and I’ve gotten a lot more enjoyment out of this game than most consoles. |

It’s good but ruins your streak. That is the only problem.
Much better stores and sure it is fun too.

The storyline continues, gets much more interesting, shows some reveals and some additional mysteries, and adds depth to the Forumwarz world. Put money in to a CD six months/1 year later you’ll have gained a meager increase, but you only made money. 10 dollars will be noting. Besides you’ll be 6 months/1 years closer to Episode 3 release by then… whenever that will be. |

ep2 was worth it. i enjoyed ep1. ep2 was not as long, but more fun. cant wait for ep3 (the survival forum will be pretty amazing) ————————————————————- as u can see from my lack of a smiley, u may not even have to pay $10.00 (i have payed $0.00 to support CZ b/c i can’t buy BP from CZ Log in to see images! |

Shii Posted: Sure, but you can get old games for around that price. Or $0 if you know where to look. I’m pretty sure a 50+ hour N64 game kicks FW’s bum out of the water. Bargain PS2 games can go for around five bucks if you know where to look. I’m not bashing FW; the humor is great and the community is funnier than most others, but the core game is nothing special.

Depends on how much you value your money.
I’ve played Episode 2 to the end, and I can say that the gameplay is pretty much the same thing as the first episode. There are some funny NPCs, dialogue and quests. But honestly, I expected the game to be more fun than it is for me right now.
The “Forumwarz has a cool community” argument is irrelevant because you don’t need to have Episode 2 to be in the community. |

Either way, good criticism in this thread. I agree that Episode 2 is mostly more of the same in terms of the game engine. I’d like to make Episode 3 much more varied, but in the meantime we are really busy adding stuff to the core universe like Kyoubai and ItemBuildr.
Flamebate is up for a big re-design too. |

Ep2 doesn’t take long or it doesn’t feel like it takes long to finish if you had been here pre episode 2 and grinded and all that.
It’s definitely worth the 10 dollars. 10 dollars is nothing really. Even if you’re a working a minimum wage job it’s no more than an hour and a half of work. Then consider it’ll be 3-7 (brutal estimate, I have no real proof) hours of entertainment to go through the story. |
