Dum de dum , eat, crack it open, read my book.

So I finish my one bag and open a new one.

They taste kinda funny, but whatever.

Eat spit it out etc etc.

So I get to one, crack it open, and it tastes like I licked a corroded battery.

and it’s all grainy inside.

So I’m like wtf.

I spit out the two halves into my hand, and it’s all black inside, with a nice worm where the seed should be.

and I’m guessing the graininess was worm poop.

So yeh, David’s will be getting a phone call tomorrow.

I mean, I’m not super-grossed out.

I’ve watched survivorman enough to know that bugs aren’t gonna hurt you.

I’m more just kind of irritated that I’m probably not going to be able to enjoy seeds anymore.

Cuz every seed I eat I’m gonna think “I wonder if there’s a worm in this one.”

EDIT: And this is no troll, this just happened to me not 15 minutes ago.

Yeh, I mean, I wasn’t really grossed out by it as much as I was just irritated. And yeh, it tasted awful, lol. Like I’d licked a corroded battery like I said.

I know the worm is totally cooked and all, I’m just probably not going to eat them anymore.

Yeeeep.

I wonder what the us fda allows as an acceptable amount of worms in them.. I can’t seem to find it online. I know they allow some of totally gross things in most foods, like a certain amount of rat **** is acceptable in peanut bumer.

I used to have stickers that came in a Penn and Teller book, they had things like “Contains the maximum daily allowable filth” printed on them.

My favorite sticker was the “tastes like chicken” one. I stuck it on a chicken in our freezer to confuse my mom. I also made P&T’s bleeding heart jello cake for valentine’s once, it was not tasty, but oozed fake blood in a freaking awesome way. Log in to see images!

Also, I don’t know if I ate the Cheeto roach or not, but I can’t imagine where the other half went if I didn’t eat it.

I can’t find anything saying regulations for sunflower seeds but here is a list of limits for a bunch of foods:
