I was wondering what your stats are for your hacker. I just respec-ed mine because the new Engrish forum nearly kicked my bum. I still hax0rd them but I still had to heal a couple times. I’m not 35 yet so I can’t help much, but maxing out Ego helps me a lot. Since the bonuses get bigger with each level of Ego, one level of Ego goes a lot farther than one level of Defense later on. The main problem is dealing with repair costs after taking a lot of damage. |

Pink Floyd, and Earbleeders. Other than that, no particularly rare items (well, Ripro, definitely make a point of getting Ripro, it makes it so you can devote all 4 hardware slots to beast0rs or hard drives, depending on your luck/repair needs).
I probably have more ego than I need, in all honesty. But I wouldn’t want to go much lower, otherwise I’d sometimes need consumables to pwn level 35 forums at max threads.

That amazing… I only have 1810 ego and no pink floyd. I’ve taken down level 33 with a few HTP’s though. I have the rippro and 4 cables. I switch out some cables for the hard drives to get low luck when grinding for PF. Log in to see images! OMG FURRY! |

Always felt compelled to have high Ego. And with a comfortable 8k, I can take down any of the forums without anything resembling effort. The Earbleeders, Pink Floyd, and Ripro jack up the Offense enough that I’m consistently hitting 1500 with 404, Flipr, and Poetry, while doing ~2700 with IPz and Recipes, and the huge Luck bonus pays for the handful of repairs with ease.
