I suffer from this as well as chronic insomnia. Anyone else have issues with the whole sleep concept? |

My deal is that I have a really hard time even getting sleepy. I am usually fatigued as all hell but never sleepy I just lay in bed awake for hours. What tops it off is a general desire not to sleep as I have vivid dreams when I do, and quite uncomfortable ones. |

Yes and no. I initially was prescribed some sleeping pills/tranquilizers: Ativan, Klonipin, Ambien, but they only mellowed me out and I still ended up being awake. Given that I really don’t like sleep I still deal with it, but at the same time the effects of staying awake for days at a time before crashing for two or three hours of nightmarish sleep is something that has led to my deteriorating health.
P.S. Not really being emo or seeking pity just trying to open dialog with other Insomniacs. |

I am similar without the dreams. I rarely dream. Not being able to fall asleep sucks because I quite enjoy sleeping. |

I sleep once every two days. Then a whole lot on the weekends. Not healthy, not healthy.

Y’know, they claim the next step in human evolution is the loss of the need to sleep… |
