All he’d have to do would be to reset the cookies again, which would force everyone to be logged off. And change the login screen to have the same “I am over 18” text.

The thing that noone is really paying attention to is that it’s illegal to host or link CP on your site. Ergo, the main problem still isn’t solved. Patch showing partially nude pictures of himself is still against the law. That has NOTHING to do with what people should or shouldn’t see on this site.

Patch’s images (that I’m aware of) have been removed, and I asked him to stop posting them until he turns legal age.

The solutions above will prevent us from having to worry about people posting self-images. But you’re right, it doesn’t address the issue of people posting loli. That is a different topic.

He should be perma-banned. I’m not sure what else you think ET should do, but showing porn to minors is also illegal.

Did you read my blog post? If so why do you think it’s necessary? If we’re not legally obliged to, why would we limit our audience arbitrarily?

Idea: Players who are under 18 have stricter posting rules? I was going to say not able to post in FB but that’s undue restriction. Instead I’m thinking maybe not allowing minors to post in threads deemed NSFW – is there a possibility of changing some sort of code to where “NSFW” put in the thread title would automatically make it to where you’d have to confirm your age to post…?

If not, feel free to ignore and/or ridicule me as you see fit. I’m probably just talking out of my bum right now.

but they do! Having an 18+ rule wont protect them it will only make them go away.

Maybe some of the guys here don’t feel comfortable posting pr0n with youngsters around but that imo is pretty much their problem.

It is a fact that younger persons are bigger money spenders or at least are the spenders of the future..

I don’t think doing something like this is a good idea, since a majority at forumwarz is a minor.

You will cut off a lot of the BP income and by that you are slowing down game development and may even kill it server costs

A simple age restriction at the front would save all potential trouble.

Just to reiterate: I am over 18 but there is no way I would supply my credit card number on the internet. I bumume that this would be the norm.
