At this point, there is no consensus on what constitutes an optimal build. In fact, there are different “optimal” builds based on what you want to do: Go for speedrun records, maximize your flezz intake, etc. So no one can answer your question with a definitive answer.

Having just hit Level 8 myself, I was wondering in general how much Ego & Douchbaggery I should look to have. Ego is 160, DB is 63. I’ve got 38 upgrade points to spend. I decided to bump up my Ego +75 and buy the Evil 3 attack.
Does the price for haxlrose increase each time, or does it max out at 1000 flezz?

The problem with upping Ego and your secondary stat is that after a certain point, it’s not a good return. Hitting an Ego of 60 or 100 is important because it allows you to use one of the higher level replenishers for full effect, but the only difference between an Ego of 120 and 160 is that you get an extra 40 Ego at the start. While that might save you a pill every once in a while, you’re probably better off putting those points into Upkeep, Frugality, or Defense in the long run. |
