When I read that, the FIRST thing that popped to head was Flight of the Valkyries, I mean, Ride. However, the thing already in my head was Black Juju by Alice Cooper; and depending on when the novel is set, that might be considered ‘clbumical’. If anything, nowadays at least, it is only clbumic rock, not clbumic, it is very aggressive and warlike and ends in a spectacular reveal; a sinister recitation of the song’s title, up to that point, not uttered; perfect for the coup de grace. Of course, it does communicate a certain dark energy (Black Juju, well duh) so it may not be suitable.
