Stumbled across that while looking for a cross-reference for this printer and hopefully a service manual Log in to see images!
edit:
After recently moving, I hooked my HP Deskjet 3820 back up and any time I try to print, it shoots the paper out the back of the unit. I’ve already downloaded the newest driver with no success. Is there a switch or bumon I have to push to reset it? Any help you can give would be very much appreciated. Thanks!FalconFour edited this message on 12/28/2008 1:55PM Log in to see images! Where I work, I deal with some pretty intelligent people, but these people just don’t seem to understand computers or printers. Sometimes they will call in urgent work orders…I go out there, and it’s usually:
a) something isn’t plugged in. Ethernet, power, etc. b) something really obvious, like a paper jam.
I don’t mind though…job security. Log in to see images! CaptainDDL edited this message on 12/28/2008 2:08PM Log in to see images! |

you’d think tech support would be on its way out now that the generation of people who grew up with computers are getting older, but it’s not happening. there will always be hopeless mbumes. Hobart Bliggity Posted: |

I was going to come up with something witty to say, but I cannot actually think of any lulzy way to describe living without a printer for purposes of printing emails, copying receipts, printing forms to mail, so on and so forth…
I have a laser printer in my living room. Log in to see images! Log in to see images! Log in to see images! http://falconfour.com/bumhurt-cinematic |

laser printers are the best. none of the ink bull**** that inkjets have. leave a laser printer in storage for a couple years and it’ll fire right back up. leave an inkjet for a month and it’ll be clogged and useless.
also 70 bucks for toner = 1500+ pages vs 40 bucks for black ink = ~50-100 pages tops Hobart Bliggity Posted: |

Zactly. That laser printer in my living room was rescued from the dumpyard because it was sucking in like 20 pages at a time (bad separation pad and roller). Print quality was excellent (600dpi and a perfect drum) so I thought it’d be worth replacing the rollers.
The ONLY money I’ve EVER spent on that printer so far has been those pads. It’s STILL running on the original cartridge I’ve had in it since I got it, maybe 6 or 7 months ago. I haven’t even priced a replacement cartridge. Probably printed a couple hundred pages on it – not to mention its time in storage.
Anyone that doesn’t own a laser printer needs to rectify that situation immediately. Log in to see images! Log in to see images! Log in to see images! http://falconfour.com/bumhurt-cinematic |
