I think the best way to handle status effects is as a new clbum, since clbumes need to be distinct in order to be worth having.

That would make every other one boring…

I prefer the idea of giving each clbum a distinct kind of status effect.

The following attacks/abilities for instance could make pwning a lot more interesting and less awfully tedious:

-Stun attacks

-Weaken attacks cool

-Confuse attacks like the permanoob

-Slow attacks like refreshing

-Poison attacks like one hitting is stupid

-Regenerate like the camwhore

-Extra strong attacks that damage yourself

-Shield (subtract from douchebaggery/sexiness/etc instead of ego for a while)

-Beserk like the emo

Agreed. If the goal is to truly make the forums parodies of irl forums, then this should be a feature. New attacks sound like they are real possibilities considering that this game seems to be in a constant state of self-improvement through functions like itembuildr and forumbuildr. An attackbuildr would seem to be the next step in the process. Hopefully the next rebalancing doesn’t change too much. I like being a troll. Log in to see images!
