MY MEMORY IS THAT OF A SMALL GRAPE

It’s not hard to make it 93x93 yourself.

An autoresizer might be nice but it’s not needed imo

I think it might be a reasonable thing to include since resizing pics isn’t necessarily simple to do in all operating systems. I know in Mac OS X the default image program (Preview) doesn’t do it, so in order to do it you need to open Automator and write a script that does it. It’s not hard, but it’s fairly unobvious.

Are there really people that are unable to operate a image viewer with sufficient skill to modify the height/width of an image? You can even do it in MS Paint, for bollocks sake.

You can only freehand-resize in paint*, and it resizes with nearest-neighbor which looks like ****ing ****. Basically, and essentially, no, there is no easy way to resize an image in Windows, and evidently not in Mac either.

Honestly I thought the site would auto-resize it, like any sane forum would… Log in to see images!

I mean, in order to determine the image size, there must be image functions in ruby (which fwz is written in, right?), so logically there should be a way to load, resize, and save the image to resize it. It would only need to be done once, so far less load than say, loading the whole list of 7 Vibrating Doldoes members.

And 93x93 is ****ing weird as well. It’s so close already, so why not just 100x100?

edit: * – unless you compute the percentage reduction, then enter the percentages into “stretch/skew”, but that’s like working to invent replica feces. All that work just for a pile of ****.

It is shocking to learn that some of us still do not have access to Photoshop. However, auto resize tool makes sense. Just make sure it gives a preview first.

Also I couldn’t figure out how to properly resize in paint. If I resize by hand canvas stays the same size.

Yeah, like I figure most sane people wouldn’t understand either. Hence my mention.

When you resize in paint, you’re holding the selection of the image. You can do a lot of selecting and manipulating in paint, it’s just not layer-based. So after resizing, then you have to reduce the canvas size, by either deselecting (click the select tool again) then grabbing the lower-right corner and dragging it in, or Image->Attributes and enter a pixel size to crop the canvas to.

Either way, it looks like bum.

Vile serpent! I generally avoid temptation unless I can't resist it.

Unless you are needing to resize an animated gif it’s really not that hard for someone to resize an image with any number of OS or freeware tools. Resizing an animated gif can be a bit of a pain simply because you run up against the maximum image size soooo easily.
