Ignoring the obvious lazy syntax and phony tags, how the **** would I make that work, particularly the second line in updateVars()...?! This is driving me bat**** insane, since there’s no single JavaScript resource like there is with PHP. Everything has to be done by describing a concept to Google, and that doesn’t exactly work here.

I can’t use “this”, because I need the function to reference both the variable and the value fields (and “this” would only return the one that’s selected). Ugh…
