hey now hold up there a second there mister i’m not saying “lolol macs r gay” because that makes you just as bad as the mac fanbois. I’m contesting they have their bonuses (say if you wanted to do graphic design or such i’d probably switch to a mac) but I am arguing that spending a couple thousand dollars for a laptop because it “looks cool” is nothing short of idiocy in my opinion

I am becoming more and more of a fan of a.viary.com. You could take all of your FW dollars and buy yourself a blue subscription and get all sorts of slick tools…or just abuse the trustware evaluation period Log in to see images!

E: On second thought, if you have never played with aviary, go check it out. The trustware aspect is really cool, and as soon as I’ve used it enough to get good enough at image editing that I can use it for commercial development, I intend on subscribing like crazy. Plus, once their music suite comes out, I’ll be in heaven.

Should have just gotten a regular MacBook. I’m not gonna bash all Macs, because they really aren’t that bad (overpriced, but still nice), but why in God’s name would you get a MacBook Air? Aside from its thinness, it’s inferior to a regular macbook in pretty much every way. Unless it’s thin enough to cut someone and be used as a makeshift weapon, you should just get a regular macbook.

As someone who programs all day, it’s amazing to have a unix kernel and terminals underneath this beautiful operating system. Sure I can’t run most games on it without dual booting, but that’s what my 360, DS and PS3 are for.

I worked professionally in windows for years. I’m much more productive in OSX.

I have a macbook, I got it specifically cos I don’t wanna be throwing hours an hours into high-end games or even mid end games etc. I wanna be functional and do a buncha stuff out of the box and have a platform which encourages (by being easy to work with) my drawing and music and AMVs (I never tried AMVs on a PC tho… iunno comparison on that one)

yeah it has its penalties, looks like a few bucks and a toucha game time is too big a hurdle for some ppl to get over xP
