You know, I was kinda proud of the fact that I got all those avatars in, but now that I see them published I’m starting to question my own subs. All those jokey, caption-style names spelled out in proper English, like “It’s a Prosthetic,” don’t actually look anything like real screen names. You can almost see how the selection process became an INCIT-like game, y’know? Log in to see images!

It might’ve worked for this particular forum, but in general it comes off as kinda artificial. The problem is, if you try to throw any cutesy syntax to distinguish names, like underscores or tildes, they quickly get squashed by voters.
