Anyone up for a game of chess?

It’s been a while since I tried starting up a game on these forums, maybe there are some people interested that weren’t around before. My prefered format is that we basically post our moves itt, and allow others to kibitz if they feel so inclined. Anyone interested in taking on the white pieces can post his or her first move, preferably in algebraic notation: time controls could be one move every 48 hours, but let me know if you want something else. I’m also willing to play via TM. |

I was thinking about starting a chess contest earlier actually. It’s a nice game, unfortunately it would be too easy to cheat and let a bot play in such a tournament. It should be fine, though, if there’s no prize other than fame and glory. |

If you’re afraid of cheating, you can make it an advanced chess contest, where all participants are allowed to use engines (there are some very good ones available for free) so the match would be decided on who departs from the engine analysis to the best effect. |

For the purposes of this thread I don’t give a hoot if people want to use engines, really. Also here’s a nice article on the limitations of engines. |

it would be hilarious to see a pro go “anti-computer style” against a bot user Log in to see images!
though, somehow i doubt that any of us fwz players have the skill to go against a computer like that
i hope someone will step up and challenge you itt (but i suck at chess sorry) |
