You’re thinking of Dissociative Identity Disorder, wherein a person has multiple personalities that are often completely unaware of one another. (Which is why it’s also often called Multiple Personality Disorder, or MPD).

MPD is a completely seperate disorder from Schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is simply a general fracturing of the psyche. A person suffering from the disease often has trouble connecting two parts of their mind, causing them to behave in stereotypically “Insane” ways. It’s far, far more complicated than that, but honestly I doubt anyone here is bright enough to understand it so I won’t bother going into more detail.
