So I logged out and back in (with this pbumword), and it still accepted this.

Whether it only checks against the first however many letters, I don’t know, but given that the maximum length of the pbumword is at least 1000…

There appears to be some confusion over the way I worded this. It all stems from the tubmailed pbumword I received, which was six alphanumeric characters followed by a period. Whether the period was part of the pbumword or not I’m unsure, hence “appears”.

Can I guess it and then send the BP?

Based on the well thought out OP, I would have to say that you’d have to send the BP before making your guesses, if you wish to enter in this thread. However, the OP implies that there are other ways to enter besides in this thread, so you’d have to get clarification from him on what those methods are.

Okay, just to clarify to everyone: Despite what Big Brother wrote above, the pbumword he sent to me was not his new one. Just in case you were also confused.

Well, July 24, and nobody’s sent me BP to enter the contest. So I guess it’s closed.

Big Brother, next time you want to run a contest, I suggest you make it one where people have a legitimate chance to win. And one where if they have to gamble BP, there’s a decent enough payback and a reasonable chance of winning. No one’s ever going to enter a “contest” where they just have to give you BP and really can’t win.
