Did you know that the Disney Corporation named The Mermaid by Hans Christien Andersen “Ariel” after this baby who died from AIDS before the film was produced?

If you really love AIDS you will delight in the knowledge that Howard Ashman, lyracist, co-producer, and writer of additional dialogue for the film, was a gay Jew who died from AIDS less than two years after the film’s release.

This, however, is nothing compared to the fabulous personry of the Walt Disney corporation, who forgot their very founder, Walt Disney and found Mr. Disney’s script for this very film only after it was already in production.
