Okay, I read it. Now, what are they for?
Is there any reason we should care how many fans we have, aside from trying to get to the top of the leaderboard? Do they mean anything at all to someone who isn’t playing Dom? (view post) |

itembuildr image today is p cool (clitoris ring)I was wondering if someone was going to get clever and get us an appropriate work-safe image for that piercing.
Turns out, no. Or, if so, it was downvoted in favor of NSFW.
I guess we’ll see what, if anything, happens. It makes ‘no nudity in avatars’ kinda hypocritical if it stays, though. (view post) |

Klan Raiding - completely reimaginedGetting back on the subject of the proposal, I have to agree that I don’t really see the point. Maybe I’m missing something.
Why would thirteen people in any klan basically take a hit to their chances in Dom to build up cherry scoops for the klan? Why would any other klan care about the cherry scoops another klan might be saving up?
If raiding as no impact on Dom, why limit it at all? Why not let big klans raid 24/7? I agree with Inconnu, in that any equipment rewards would have to either be overpowered or basically inconsequential at this point to the end game players this is supposed to be entertaining. If we’re going to remove the Dom from klan raiding, we may as well remove the scoops from it and make it something completely separate.
But, other than general male reproductive organishness (which there is plenty of, admittedly), why would anyone try to blow up another klan’s cherry scoops? If the goal is to gain maximum cherry scoops, you’re only hurting yourself to spend cherry scoops doing it, and you’re only hurting your chances at Dom to spend any other scoops to do it.
As for the banking and spending, I think I’m missing something. First, if you’re spending the scoops you need to reach a higher level, why wouldn’t everyone reach the highest level they want before spending them? At the costs you’ve suggested, how many people are going to try? How many players want to raid for a month to get someone else an ePeen, with the promise that after twenty months of getting other people ePeens, they’ll probably get one?
As far as regular Domination goes, the biggest problem I have is that everything comes down to ten minutes at the end. Miss those ten minutes, and you may as well not even try. Aside from infinite klan raiding, that’s what I’d consider the biggest problem.
But, as far as Chocolate goes, I will say, INCIT is part of the system. If chocolate scoops end up being limited, saying ‘except INCIT’ is just leaving a whole for someone to eventually exploit. INCIT counts and if there are caps, INCIT should be included in those caps. If too many submissions means too many scoops, it might be worthwhile to make only some number of a person’s ‘best’ submissions count, but making them pick which of their submissions is going to be ‘good’ in any week is turning chocolate into the new gambling scoop. People with good submissions certainly get more chocolate scoops, but an idea that gave 25 scoops last week might get you 1 scoops this week before getting -5’d. At least until the inherent randomness of voting is resolved, don’t do anything to chocolate scoops. It’s not like it’s causing a problem, despite everyone’s best efforts to break them. If it’s not broke, why try to fix it? (view post) |

Leaderboard E-Peen now awarded by clbum!Jalapeno Bootyhole Posted:
Unless the upcoming milestone Peens are going to include stripping all the Leaderboard peens from everyone, it’s not really much of a consolation. Lester may not really care, but I’m very irritated.
But, I suppose every should be used to this from CZ. Being nice to other players after you get the reward you were shooting for gets you punished. Everyone should hog Leaderboards for as long as they can, so they can be sure they keep the reward for topping it and not get punished for being nice to the other players.
Are you guys even capable of determining who has topped the total Leaderboards in the time they were being split, or is everyone who got an ePeen in that time losing it, no matter what they topped? (view post) |

The more Acid Flux bought, the less rare they are. The more people think he bought, the lower the max price people will pay, because there will always be another one coming.
Of course, if Flezz meant anything to people, they’d pay less, too. But, in an economy where people will pay 4,000,000 for a Marble, because it’s funny, I fail to see how giving someone nearly any amount of Flezz is hurting anything.
Seriously. What has the piles of Flezz the top ten people on the Flezz board gotten them, other than the ability to be in the top ten and domination over the three special auctions ET put out.
Flezz needs to have value before it matters that people have gotten millions of it. There’s already a huge problem with the economy. A dozen people having the possibility (but not certainty) of big profit from market analysis and ET psychology doesn’t mean anything if what people are ‘winning’ isn’t worth anything but the ability to say you have more of it. MasterBall-gatemeeeeeeeeee Posted:
People had more of a warning about Master Balls than we got about the reduction of junk prices. Anyone who was letting junk pile up in their inventory lost Flezz proportionate to the amount of junk they had, with no warning or consideration of reparations. All we got was ‘You should have been selling your junk. You were probably trying to cheat the system somehow.’
But, this time it matters, because instead of only a few people getting hurt, only a few people were benefited, which I guess translates into most people getting hurt, if you want to think about it that way.
If that needs to be fixed, then everyone who lost Flezz due to the two unannounced junk price drops should also be compensated for the loss. If those people (which included me) need to deal with the loss, so does everyone else when it happens to them.
If we want to talk about Flezz sinks, ET should be doing more ‘Special Auctions’, along the lines of custom ePeen and other non-Equipment items. Now that we have itembuildr, we have a few special items coming into the system, so the Special Items would need to be much more special than they used to be. More headsets would be a good way to judge the interest and the amount of Flezz people would sink into that, so that other Special items could be properly judged. A Special Item not based on Offense or Defense might go for a lot, though. (view post) |

Want a Master Ball, but don't feel like waiting? Get yours here.meeeeeeeeee Posted:
Not to be rude, but why is the hit to the economy a big deal this time? Because it affects you?
ET cut the price of junk twice, both times unannounced, and each time I lost millions of Flezz. No one really cared, because it only hurt a few people.
This time, ET removes an item from sale, and a few people benefit, and suddenly it’s a huge deal, unfair to everyone, and accusations of corruptions are flying everywhere.
If steps are taken to remove the Flezz that as ‘corruptly’ gained by people buying Master Balls for resale, then I want the Flezz I lost from the unannounced reductions in junk prices returned. If one adjustment to the economy that affected a small number of people needs to be addressed, then they all should be.
If not, then people need to get over it, write it off as another bump in the Flezz road, and talk about addressing the real problems with the economy, rather than trying to turn this into a mod hunt (even though there are non-mods who stocked up as well). (view post) |

The itembuildr cycle: Suggestion for changeAcid Flux Posted:

Itembuildr: Let's talk about itMaybe it would help if upvotes also increased the amount negative an entry can be before getting axed.
That is to say that an entry with 0 upvotes gets dropped with 5 downvotes at -5, but an entry with 10 upvotes might get dropped by 20 downvotes at -10.
That way, generally bad entries which aren’t getting upvotes still get dropped rather quickly, but ‘hit or miss’ entries that are getting a lot of upvotes and downvotes stick around longer, and get a better chance to get a surge of upvotes, rather than getting dropped when random timing gives them five more downvotes than upvotes.
The simple math could be that a submission gets dropped at -5 or -upvotes, whichever is lower, but there’s any number of possible formula to work with, depending on how resilient entries should be.
If you wanted to be really complicated, the point at which submissions get dropped could slowly rise over the course of the day, so they could drop at -100 at the start of voting, and drop at -5 near the end, giving plenty of time for decent entries to make a comeback, but letting bad entries still get progressively dropped as the day progresses, so people who didn’t want to wade through crap could just vote later in the day.
All I know is that I came to vote and I saw four total entries. Maybe a lot of them weren’t good, but four out of over three hundred? (view post) |
