holy **** an actual streak bugMC Banhammer Posted:
Please excuse the doublepost, but this is likely caused by the same as above, only with a slightly different series of visited fora. There might be a precedence of new e-peen over streak in the code, but not being a CZ employee, I can’t know for sure. (view post) |

holy **** an actual streak bug12 then 4? I know what caused this: Craigslust.com 11/07/2008 9:32AM 11/07/2008 9:33AM 44s
When you decided to start your forum streak, you went: Homicide Girls 11/04/2008 11:40PM 11/04/2008 11:42PM 118s Second Wife 11/05/2008 10:35AM 11/05/2008 10:36AM 90s Dykea 11/05/2008 10:37AM 11/05/2008 10:38AM 63s Zombie Armageddon 11/05/2008 10:38AM 11/05/2008 10:40AM 71s and earned four in a row.
Then, Hall of Faded Fame 11/05/2008 10:40AM 11/05/2008 10:41AM 62s Great Firewall of China 11/05/2008 10:48AM 11/05/2008 10:49AM 46s Suburban Gangsta Paradise 11/05/2008 2:27PM 11/05/2008 2:28PM 53s Internet Movie DoucheBags 11/05/2008 2:30PM 11/05/2008 2:30PM 33s earned you eight in a row.
Then PrayPal 11/05/2008 2:31PM 11/05/2008 2:32PM 86s Teen Mommies 11/05/2008 2:35PM 11/05/2008 2:36PM 63s Dolphin Love 11/06/2008 9:50AM 11/06/2008 9:51AM 63s Fanfiction Freaks 11/06/2008 9:53AM 11/06/2008 9:53AM 27s earned you twelve.
Finally, Thirteen: God Hates Facts 11/06/2008 9:54AM 11/06/2008 9:55AM 38s Fourteen: Home of Male Objectors 11/06/2008 9:56AM 11/06/2008 9:58AM 146s Fifteen: Homicide Girls 11/07/2008 9:29AM 11/07/2008 9:31AM 148s You’d already pwned Homicide Girls (fifteen fora ago), so your streak counter should have reset to 0.
When you pwned Craigslust.com 11/07/2008 9:32AM 11/07/2008 9:33AM 44s the game counted backwards for the first unbumigned streak reward and gave you scoops for four in a row. Incidentally, the next forum you pwned should have given you eight in a row, then twelve in a row, as long as you maintained that you did not pwn other fora in the list, counting backwards from the top.
Be more careful next time. Log in to see images! (view post) |

Remember that Greasemonkey Script? Thanks, Courtney and nevkick.
I will be trying to keep the script up to date as fora are added, but I won’t promise it, because school and a social life has been eating up a lot of my time. That said, I am playing semi-actively again, so I will certainly be around to add new fora as they come out. (view post) |

Remember that Greasemonkey Script?Inertia Posted:
Not sad at all. My understanding is that Evil Trout had wanted to integrate my script with the actual UI of the game for a while now. He asked a klannie of mine for a recent version, and I found out about this while hammering out a version last night during a Brainfreeze raid because Episode 2 broke some things with it.
Once the new version was done, I pointed Evil Trout at it, and came home to see it done.
No sadness here, only joy. (view post) |

Remember that Greasemonkey Script? With Evil Trout’s recent changes to the Domination page (thank you!), I would like to point out that the -basic- (not lite, not gold) script still does its job. Unless the page changes dramatically, I will maintain the basic script and remove the other two scripts from the original post as they are rather obsoleted.
Thank you for your hard work, ForumWarz team. Thank you for your support and encouragement, ForumWarz players.
Update: ForumHelper 1.4.1 is live, adding links on the Domination page to all fora, whether you can access them or not. This will NOT grant you access to fora you cannot access, so don’t bother. (view post) |

episode two "too late to fix this now" threadThe only place where a grind has really been noticeable (in my experience, at least) is between episode 1 and episode 2. Finishing NUKE off at level 8 and needing roughly level 11 to be able to take on the weakest forum in episode 2 leaves much to be desired, but it did give me some time to take on some job board requests, earn some flezz, and buy better Hacker gear. so why do you need to repair .moar filesThe reason is simple:
Your ****ty computer has a very small hard drive, so you burn all of your completed .moar files onto DVD. DVDs have limited lifespans, so file corruption sets in early.
This means that while you are pwning fora, you have your chosen DVD in your drive, running that .exec, listening to that .tune, playing that .divy file and reading that .dtbs in the background.
Bruce Bear just happens to sell a powerful DVD-cleaning tool that only works on part of the DVD you have, so you need to buy small amounts of that tool to clean the part of the DVD that the damaged file is contained on. He’s very specific about such things, using a bunch of high tech tools to determine exactly where on the burned portion of your disc the file in question is.
And that’s how it’s done. (view post) |

Remember that Greasemonkey Script? And the next time someone complains that something doesn’t work, TubMail me. I’ll get back to you and figure out how to fix whatever problem you’re having. I can’t fix bugs that I don’t know exist. (view post) |

Remember that Greasemonkey Script?Yeah… The scripts can only count forums available to you on the Domination page, so the clbum-specific fora are generally invisible. I don’t have a workaround.(view post) |

Remember that Greasemonkey Script? After I posted my weaksauce, trimmed down version, it took maybe a couple of days for some clever hacker to add a few lines to it to present about 1/10 the functionality of the actual script. That said, here is the newest version of ForumHelper, in all three incarnations, for your using pleasure.
Because the host for these files has changed, you will have to uninstall your existing version of any script for it to work properly. You should only use one version at a time, as they do not play nicely together. You don’t have to edit the gold script to make it pick up your name or your klan, because it does that automagically (and has always done that automagically).
http://adamanagrammichaud.tripod.com/ForumWarz/forumhelper.user.js http://adamanagrammichaud.tripod.com/ForumWarz/forumhelpergold.user.js [The ‘lite’ version has been obsoleted and the gold one reborn.]
These scripts are presented “as-is”, and are used at your own risk. That said, the code is available “as-is” if you click the “View Script Source” bumon, or visit the links without GreaseMonkey enabled.
These scripts are released “as-is” under some sort of copyleft that says you can modify them to your heart’s content (or integrate them into your web-based internet parody game) as long as you don’t try to release this code as your own work – credit the creators please.
These scripts have been tested on a piece of **** Windows XP Home machine running FireFox 3 and version 0.8.20080609.0 of GreaseMonkey.

A walk down memory lane. Thanks (again) to everyone who voted for my Faux News style. I am glad it won, sad that it was taken down (though I understand why, fully), and perplexed at how easy Faux News is now. That place used to hit like a truck that’s carrying three other trucks and a station wagon.

DOMINATION THEME WEEK: July 23This sounds like an excellent way to earn Chocolate scoops all the time, if the threshold were changed from 1 win to 3 wins or something.
Also, is there any chance of looking at ForumBuildr chocolate and maybe changing that to one scoop for every five upvotes instead of the way it works now? (view post) |
