	Lowest level last mission has been completed? [spoilers?] Evil Trout Posted: Forumwarz is a pretty complicated application as far as web apps go. There are about 125 tables in the database. Now not all of them are used for storing character data, but there are at least 20-30 that do. Every time a character is reset we have to begin a transaction, lock those 25 tables and delete most of the rows, then update data to their initial levels. In the meantime, those 20-30 tables are being hit by people playing the game, wanting to insert their gained cred or whatever, which causes the deadlocks. If we weren’t serving up multiple requests every second it might not be such an issue (in fact on the development server it’s never a problem), but it’s not a simple operation Ok, if people can send in updates for their ‘cred or whatever’ then can’t the players have a reset button that they can press to update everything in their character? 	A way to experiment with different upgrade builds You could use flezz as payment for the re-upgrading. Something like 100 for the first then 1000, and just multiply the cost by 10 every time they do it. That is good enough that someone can fix it once if they find out they craped up but they would have to work hard for it after that point. (view post)	11/15/2007
	Gamble-Bot ProfeSsoRCHIld Posted: High low is simple. The dealer deals a single card, and you try to predict whether the next card is higher in value, or lower in value. The trick is that you do this in a string… you pay more than the first “success” (or couple of successes, depending on house rules) can give you, and you can “cash out” at any time… each success raising how much you’ll get back more and more, but when you lose, you lose. The only thing to add to that is when a card is dealt that is the same value as the old card (eg. you have a 2 of hearts and then after guessing the next card is the 2 of spades) then nothing happens and the player guesses again. So, no money is added to the pot that turn, but the player doesn’t lose. Also, a idea for a game is to have one of the various adding games like 98,99, and 100. Edit:!! 	Error in Gamblebot Started out: Me: 2 heart, 6 clubs:Total 8 GB: 6 heart Hit and got Ace Spade Total: 18 or 9 Hit and got 3 heart Total: 21 or 12 Stand GB got 4 club, 6 heart, and ace club At most got 20.
